A Centrally Managed Cybersecurity Subscription
Malwarebytes Cybersecurity for Business is provided by Free Spirits as a subscription-based endpoint-security service. It is not sold as a one-time antivirus licence or as a standalone security application that the customer must configure and manage independently.
During the active subscription period, the Malwarebytes endpoint agent is installed on the licensed workstations or servers. Free Spirits uses the centralised Malwarebytes Nebula administration platform to configure protection policies, review endpoint status, monitor security events, investigate detected threats and initiate appropriate remediation actions.
Nebula is the professional management platform used by Free Spirits as the IT administrator supporting the service. Access to the Nebula administration platform is not included as a customer-facing product feature unless this has been separately agreed and documented.
The customer receives the selected Malwarebytes IR, EP or EDR protection on the licensed endpoints together with the Free Spirits service and support level included in the subscription.
How the Subscription Service Works
The service is licensed per protected endpoint and remains operational for the duration of the active subscription.
The subscription process normally includes:
- Reviewing the customer’s workstations, servers and operating systems.
- Selecting the appropriate Incident Response, Endpoint Protection or Endpoint Detection and Response package.
- Creating the required endpoint-security policies.
- Deploying or providing installation assistance for the Malwarebytes endpoint agent.
- Connecting the licensed endpoints to the centrally administered environment.
- Applying the selected security policies to the protected devices.
- Monitoring endpoint health, detections and security events according to the purchased service.
- Providing remediation and technical support within the agreed service scope.
The Malwarebytes agent installed on each licensed endpoint communicates securely with the centrally managed security service. This allows Free Spirits to apply configuration changes, receive threat notifications, review endpoint status and perform authorised security actions without requiring the customer to operate a separate management server.
An active subscription is required for continued protection, cloud communication, security updates, policy administration and the applicable IR, EP or EDR capabilities. If the subscription expires or is cancelled, the included protection and management services will cease according to the applicable subscription and termination terms.
Centralised Administration by Free Spirits
Managing security separately on every workstation or server can create inconsistent configurations, missed alerts and unnecessary administrative work.
Free Spirits uses a centralised administration platform to support all licensed endpoints included in the customer’s subscription. This provides the IT administrator with an organised view of endpoint status, applied security policies, detected threats, remediation actions and other relevant security information.
Depending on the selected IR, EP or EDR subscription, centralised administration may be used to:
- Deploy and maintain endpoint-security policies
- Review the status of protected workstations and servers
- Confirm whether endpoint agents are online and operational
- Schedule or initiate security scans
- Review malware detections and suspicious activity
- Investigate detected threats
- Initiate malware and artefact remediation
- Apply real-time protection settings
- Review security events and endpoint telemetry
- Isolate affected endpoints when supported and authorised
- Generate security reports
- Configure technical notifications and alerts
- Assist customers during suspected security incidents
This centralised structure allows Free Spirits to provide a consistent and professionally administered service without requiring the customer to learn, configure or operate the underlying security-management platform.
What the Customer Receives
The customer receives a subscription for the selected number and type of protected endpoints.
According to the selected package, the service can include:
- Malwarebytes Incident Response, Endpoint Protection or Endpoint Detection and Response licences
- Protection for the agreed number of workstations or servers
- Configuration of the applicable security policies
- Endpoint agent deployment guidance
- Centralised administration by Free Spirits
- Security status and detection review within the agreed service level
- Threat-remediation assistance
- Technical support for the installed Malwarebytes agent
- Subscription renewal and licence administration
- Optional security reports
- Optional incident investigation and response services
The exact monitoring frequency, response time, reporting schedule and amount of administrative support depend on the purchased subscription and service package.
Unless explicitly included in the customer’s quotation or service agreement, the subscription does not provide the customer with direct access to the Malwarebytes Nebula administration platform.
Professional Setup and Support from Free Spirits
This service provides more than access to Malwarebytes endpoint-security technology. Free Spirits acts as the customer’s IT security administrator for the deployment and support of the selected solution.
Depending on the purchased subscription, our service can include:
- Initial cybersecurity requirements consultation
- Endpoint and operating-system inventory
- Recommendation of the appropriate IR, EP or EDR package
- Creation and configuration of security policies
- Endpoint agent deployment assistance
- Initial endpoint scanning
- Baseline endpoint-security review
- Centralised endpoint administration

The customer does not need to configure the security-management infrastructure independently. Free Spirits handles the centralised administration according to the scope of the selected subscription.
Important Subscription Information
This is a recurring cybersecurity subscription service licensed according to the number and type of protected endpoints.
The final subscription cost can depend on:
- The number of protected workstations
- The number and type of protected servers
- The operating systems used
- The selected IR, EP or EDR security level
- The required subscription duration
- The required monitoring and support level
- Deployment and initial configuration requirements
- Optional security services and add-ons
Licences and services remain available while the subscription is active and the applicable invoices have been paid.
Adding new computers or servers may require additional endpoint subscriptions. Replacing a protected device may require deactivation or reassignment of the existing endpoint licence.
The customer must notify Free Spirits when:
- A protected device is replaced or permanently removed
- A new workstation or server must be protected
- An operating system is upgraded or changed
- A device is transferred to another user or location
- A suspected security incident occurs
- The installed endpoint agent reports an error
- The customer wants to change from IR to EP or EDR
Service Access and Customer Responsibilities
To provide deployment, investigation, remediation or technical support, Free Spirits may require authorised access to the affected endpoint or relevant technical information.
The customer remains responsible for:
- Maintaining supported operating systems
- Applying required operating-system and application updates
- Providing accurate information about protected endpoints
- Maintaining secure and tested backups
- Using strong passwords and multi-factor authentication
- Protecting administrator and user credentials
- Informing Free Spirits about device or infrastructure changes
- Reporting suspicious activity as quickly as possible
- Maintaining appropriate internet connectivity
- Following the agreed security and support procedures
Endpoint protection does not replace backups, secure configuration, software updates, access control, email security or employee cybersecurity awareness.
